Join us at our 35th annual Iris show. There will be horticultural, arrangement, and educational categories. Our show typically falls the end of May or beginning of June. The weather has been extra tricky this year so stay tuned for a final announcement of date and time.

This year’s show theme is Floral Justice, what brings together all ages if not comic books! Below are the categories for the artistic Division. We hope to see some amazing arrangements!

Panel by Panel

Design your arrangement in distinct sections or tiers, or two containers—like comic panels telling a story in motion.

Speech Bubble

Add a message! Use a fun cutout or prop to include a word, phrase, or quote that brings your floral creation to life.

Bam! Pow! Bloom!

Use bold, high-contrast colors (think maroons, yellows, and deep blues). Let your design burst with superhero flair.

Ink & Shadow

Channel graphic noir with moody tones—blacks, whites, grays, and maybe one pop of iris color for drama.

Garden of the Multiverse

Let different iris varieties or styles collide—represent alternate realities in one creative design.

Graphic Lines

Use linear elements (twigs, wire, geometric vases) to mimic the crisp outlines of illustrated panels.

Hero Pose

Make your iris the star! Feature one bold stalk standing proud and strong, with supporting elements in the mix.

Sidekick Style

Pair your main iris with a smaller flower or element that highlights and supports the star of the show. This can

be done with two containers with a strong sense of connection.

Cosmic Bloom

Galactic and glowing. Use sparkle, metallics, or celestial elements—stars, planets, or comic space vibes, or battery-powered lighting.

Drawing Board

Create you own comic masterpiece.
